Newlands Holidays is one of the best campsites in Charmouth, which is ideally located if you’re looking to enjoy a camping holiday in Dorset. Our award-winning campsite is situated within walking distance of the Jurassic Coast and is well suited to families or couples looking to spend quality time together in the great outdoors. Our camping pitches offer the perfect base from which to explore nearby towns and villages, including West Bay, Bridport and Lyme Regis. Charmouth’s famous fossil hunting beach is just a short walk away!

There are a range of tent pitches dotted around the tranquil grounds at Newlands holiday park. From your pitch, you can enjoy stunning vistas of the surrounding hills and a comfortable setting to relax, unwind and escape the stresses of everyday life. Whilst camping at our Charmouth campsite, you’ll have full access to a range of on-site facilities at Newlands Holidays, including the Tow Bar & Restaurant, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, splahzone, and children’s play areas.

Camping holidays at Newlands can be enjoyed from March to October. Prices start from £28 per night for up to 6 guests. Arrivals from 11am.

Camping pitches

There are a variety of pitches to choose from during a camping holiday at Newlands. Camping pitches are sited at various locations throughout our grounds and offer wonderful views of the surrounding area.

• Non electric camping pitch
• Grass camping pitch with 10-amp electric hook up
• Premium grass camping pitches with 16-amp electricity, mains water and drainage.

Hard standing pitches are also available, though these are typically occupied by touring caravans, motorhomes and caravans

Tent sizes

Our standard-size camping pitches will fit a 7 x 4m tent, your vehicle and a seating area. We do have larger pitches to accommodate 6x8m tents. Please let us know your tent size at the time of booking.

Camping fields

There are a range of camping fields to choose from when holidaying at Newlands. Take a look at our park map to choose your favourite area.

• Black Field – camping pitches on the slope offering stunning views from an elevated position.
• Blue Field – the blue field is exclusively for camping. There are a range of electric and non-electric tent pitches. Close to the play area and dog walking field
• Yellow Field – ideally located for accessing the leisure complex, bar and restaurant

We may be biased, but we believe that our campsite in Charmouth is one of the best places to go camping in Dorset! Pitch your tent in our scenic grounds, before heading out to explore the local area. There is a host of things to do within easy reach of the park – perfect for entertaining children or teenagers. Walk to nearby Charmouth Beach to try your hand at fossil hunting. Or venture slightly further afield to try at some of the region’s best activities and attractions.
